I teach at the University of Technology, Jamaica. I conduct classes at several levels concurrently from beginning speakers to students who are approaching near fluency. My instruction encapsulates the five core components of foreign language learning, that is: speaking, listening, reading, writing and culture. I plan and deliver all lessons in an interactive classroom environment to facilitate authentic immersion and acquisition of the target language.
English Language Assistant - France
2012 - 2013
My one year academic tenure as an English Teaching Assistant at a vocational school (Lycée François Clouet) and an elementary school (Collège Bechellerie) in Tours, France gave me the opportunity to sharpen my french speaking skills. I was responsible for the communicative and interactive process of English language acquisition after the core topic was taught. The pedagogy I employed was mainly digital and hand-on so as to engage them in speaking and listening in a highly educational and fun-filled environment.
